We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright to join our team at Prism Industrial Services Inc. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment in industrial & commercial facilities.

Responsibilities:

- Install, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and move machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other specifications.

- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the ongoing functionality of machinery and equipment.

- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime.

- Inspect and test machinery and equipment to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

- Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and optimize production processes.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory levels.

- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized Millwright apprenticeship program is preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Millwright in an industrial setting.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment.

- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is an asset.

- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.

- Valid Millwright license or certification is required.

- Experience with Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) is considered an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $42.50-$50.00 per hour
