Home Hardware has an exciting opportunity available for a Millwright Mechanic to join our team. Reporting to the Supervisor, Facilities and Equipment, you will be responsible to provide timely and effective service to minimize downtime and keep machinery and conveyor equipment functioning in a safe and efficient manner.If you have excellent troubleshooting capabilities along with strong interpersonal skills to work alongside fellow Team Members and contractors, then we would love to hear from you!Shift Available:

• Weekday Nights (Monday to Friday, 11:00pm to 7:00am)

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

• Repair breakdowns on all equipment, inclusive of, but not limited to, conveyor, dock leveler, forklifts, balers, compactors, compressors, other hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on all equipment throughout the facility as per manufacturer guidelines or other methods approved by the Supervisor through experience and knowledge.
• Complete assigned tasks and projects including planning design or modifications to all equipment in conjunction with other team members and other departments.
• Perform fabrication of parts upon Supervisor approval for all equipment which may include, but not limited to, welding, cutting, grinding and carpentry.
• Assist with sourcing parts for equipment as requested by the Supervisor.
• Perform some minor electrical functions within competencies and be able to support conveyor automation management.

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Must have a valid 433A Ontario Industrial Millwright License and/or 401K Motive Power Machinist and/or 430A Tool and Die Maker.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience in mechanical work as a Millwright is required.
• Must possess strong troubleshooting skills and abilities to repair most equipment challenges of a mechanical nature.
• Knowledge of air and electric power tools, welding torches, milling machines and lathes, drill presses, band saws, pipe threader etc.
• Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints to support troubleshooting and fabrication.
