An established, premium Millwork company, producing a wide mix of commercial projects throughout British Columbia, is looking for a
Millwork Installer
with experience in architectural millwork and cabinetry to join our team.
The Millwork Installer works on-site in various commercial and residential settings and is responsible for millwork/cabinet installations, from start to finish, in accordance with supplied specifications and established quality standards. We are looking for a proven professional that takes pride in being organized, efficient and safe while preserving the condition of the customer's install site and property.
Your responsibilities will include:
On-site installation of millwork components, hardware and materials to specified standards.
Perform all measurements and modifications to ensure precise fit.
Ensure work is completed on schedule as required with a keen attention to detail.
Work with other team members to ensure the end product meets the expectations of clients, property managers, project managers and other stakeholders.
Maintaining a focus on safeguarding private property and preventing a cluttered work site with good housekeeping practices at all times.
Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting completion of the job to the appropriate person.
Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of hand tools and on-site equipment.
Inform customers about the functionality, care and upkeep of their new installations and resolve any final installation issues to ensure project completion.
To fully qualify for and be successful in this position you must have:
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience installing millwork/cabinets for commercial and residential projects.
Excellent carpentry and hand tool skills applicable to millwork/cabinet construction and installation.
Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings and take accurate measurements
Your own hand tools and measurement instruments.
Ability to use relevant power tools (portable saw, etc.).
A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Reliable transportation to reach projects located across the lower mainland.
Ability to work within a team or independently as needed.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
