YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Mill General Supervisor, you will be part of the Mill Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.Lead, coach & mentor mill operations crew.
Actively work through others to monitor and maintain metallurgical parameters in all aspects of crushing, mill, tailings and water treatment circuits.
Diligently participate in communication, reporting and documentation to ensure management, maintenance and operations crews are well informed.
Complete supervisor compliance requirements, e.g. inspections, JTOs, etc.
Have knowledge of and respond to all instrumentation used to control the process, working to remedy defective equipment with others.
Ensure the crew understands and knows how to take necessary corrective action to maintain established parameters and keep the circuit in established parameter ranges.
Track quality control tests and monitor adjustments made to ensure that the circuit operates within the established product quality parameters.
Perform various investigative tests with others as may be required to ensure the circuit operates at optimum conditions.
Support metallurgical investigations as required to determine and evaluate various methods of improving circuit performance.
Keep up to date with changes in operating parameters, equipment, procedures, policies, and process control strategies.
Makes recommendations for supervision for efficiency, safety, and production improvements.
Monitor operating maintenance checks on all necessary operating equipment under your area of responsibility and take corrective action when required.
Support and ensure delivery as required with the maintenance of equipment.
Keep the work area clean to maintain a safe working environment.
Prioritize work and multi-tasking while following SOP's and working safely, leading by example. Performing proactive corrective actions as needed.
Provide relief on grinding, solutions, tailings, water treatment or crushing as required.
Have an awareness of budget and costs associated with operations and assist in their awareness and control of the crew.
Familiarity and cover for ETP, Surface, Mill & Lab in absence of other supervision.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
7 years of experience as a process technician or operator.
Understanding and experience operating all circuits.
Basic Mill Common core and demonstrated competency with all modules appreciating Operator levels 4, 3,2,1. (Mill Operations Training Classification Guideline).
Willingness to participate in ERT, training, extra shift coverage to relieve other supervisors.
Hold or be well advanced in holding Common Core First Line Production Supervisor Program - completion in year of registration.
