MIG Welder

Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder for one of our clients in Caledon, ON. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to work with various materials. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components, ensuring high-quality welds, and adhering to safety standards. The MIG Welder will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, contributing to the production of durable and reliable products.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding on various metal components according to specifications. Assemble and fabricate metal structures based on provided schematics and blueprints. Operate and maintain welding equipment, including MIG welders and plasma cutting machines. Utilize basic math skills for measuring, cutting, and fitting materials accurately. Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure quality and adherence to standards. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency in the production process. Use tools such as calipers for precise measurements during fabrication. Operate additional machinery such as press brake machines, forklifts, cranes, and rigs as needed.

Skills

Proficient in MIG welding techniques with experience in various materials. Strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to read schematics. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Experience operating press brake machines, plasma cutting equipment, forklifts, cranes, and rigs is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot welding issues as they arise.

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
