Pay ranges are dependent on shift and experience*
Shift
: Afternoon (Monday to Friday: 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.)
*Must be flexible for any straight shifts
MIG or TIG Welder - KEY Responsibilities:
Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (or the "Act") and the regulations, and Mott policies
Read Mott drawings to determine requirements
MIG or TIG weld different products and materials
Set up jigs to square products
Weld & test first sample and record results
Set controllers to required heat matching type of steel and thickness
Fit correct parts together as per drawings
Verify welded assemblies to drawings and place on carts
Maintain integrity of weld continuously through the process
Clean welds with acid wash
Metal finish products when needed
Perform other duties as required
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience as a MIG Welder and/or TIG Welder.
Must understand welding procedure and heating effect to eliminate product warping
Ability to read blueprints and data sheets
Ability to work with power hand tools (i.e. cordless drill)
Must know how to use a tape measure
Medium math skills
Good organizational skills
Physically fit for heavy lifting of >35 lbs
