to join our solar operations team. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting microgeneration and net-metering applications to utility companies on behalf of our clients. The ideal candidate is meticulous, process-driven, and comfortable working with digital tools and documentation. Your accuracy directly impacts project timelines, client satisfaction, and successful utility approvals--so precision is everything.
Duties
Prepare and submit microgeneration, net-metering, and interconnection applications for multiple utility providers
Collect, review, and validate required client documents such as electrical bills, meter photos, site plans, IDs, and service information
Enter application details into utility portals and internal software with exceptional accuracy
Track application statuses and follow up with utilities to ensure timely approvals
Communicate with project managers to ensure all application requirements align with engineering documents and installation plans
Identify and correct errors or missing information before submission to prevent delays
Maintain organized digital records of all submissions, approvals, revisions, and correspondence
Provide updates to internal teams on application progress, required revisions, or utility feedback
Support process improvements to reduce errors, shorten turnaround times, and improve workflow efficiency
Qualifications
Strong computer skills and comfort working with online portals, PDFs, spreadsheets, and digital documentation
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and data-entry precision
Ability to follow structured processes and checklists without missing steps
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously
Clear written communication for coordinating with utilities and internal teams
Prior experience in solar, utilities, permitting, administrative work, or application processing is an asset but not required
Training will be provided--motivation and precision are more important than prior industry experience
