Meter Systems and Data Integrity Analyst
About the Role
The Meter Systems and Data Integrity Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data collected from metering systems. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high-quality meter data for billing, analytics, regulatory compliance, and operational decision-making.
Duties include:
Monitor and validate incoming meter data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Identify, investigate, and resolve data anomalies, gaps, and communication failures
Collaborate with Digital Solutions, field operations, and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues
Develop and maintain data quality dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Define and enforce data quality rules and thresholds in alignment with industry standards and internal policies
Support the implementation of data governance practices and participate in audits and compliance reviews
Assist in testing and validating new metering system features, firmware updates, and data integration processes
Manages and guarantees data integrity and quality between multiple platforms
Main contact/support between DS and Metering to enhance data reporting for better data quality review, assistance for DS for new metering projects
Document data quality processes, issue resolution steps, and system configurations
Support for data requirements for eDSM programs and Key accounts as required
Performance monitoring of AMI system and all collected data
Other duties assigned by supervisor
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
College degree in System Administration, Computer Studies, or related discipline considered an asset
2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the utility or energy sector
Familiarity with metering systems, MDMS (Meter Data Management Systems), and smart meter technologies
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
