YOUR ROLE

Reporting directly to the Senior Buying Manager, the Merchandise Analyst supports and collaborates with the senior buyer to manage the footwear business for the CIS Canadian retail division. The buyer is responsible for all pre and post collection building aspects, analysis of product performance and in season management. The ideal candidate is energetic, driven, and a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.

• Monitor, analyze and report on product performance (weekly sales, weekly best sellers)
• Perform in-season management (analytics & recommendations for repeats, mkds, etc)
• Perform pre-season planning: build & balance conceptual assortment plans (based on targets, performance analytics & trends)
• Support the Senior Buying Manager in department budget pre-determined by Planning
• Support in building and buy balanced collection (styles, breadth and depth) based on the needs of the region(s)
• Monitor competition on an ongoing basis
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to ensure a strong product offering
• Attend product filtering sessions to ensure region(s)\' product needs are met
• Perform cross-function collaboration activities to ensure Go-to-Market calendar activities are delivered
• Perform cross-function collaboration activities with distribution, planning, VM.
• Achieve target budgets, margins and sell throughs

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Fashion, Business or related Degree
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Strong computer skills, with excellent knowledge of Excel
• Aware of fashion trends
• Good time management, prioritisation, and organizational skills
• Strong analytical & multitasking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
