Your Opportunity:Completion of one of the following programs: a master\'s degree in psychology, a bachelor\'s degree in social work incorporating education in mental health assessment, brief counseling, and crisis intervention, a master\'s or bachelor\'s degree in occupational therapy with similar educational components, a bachelor\'s degree in nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and brief counseling, or a bachelor\'s degree in Psychiatric Nursing. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.Description:As a Mental Health Clinician, you will work as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team collaborating on the delivery of care for the needs of individuals, families and/or communities. You will be responsible for the intake, clinical interviews, and screening of clients with addiction and mental health disorders. You will liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively with other team members as required. You may have the opportunity to participate in program planning, development and to provide supervision to practicum students. This position is open to Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Registered Social Workers, Registered Psychologists, and Registered Occupational Therapists.

Required Qualifications:Completion of one of the following programs: a Master\xc2\xbfs degree in Psychology, a Bachelor\xc2\xbfs degree in Social Work incorporating education in mental health assessment, brief counseling, and crisis intervention, a Master\xc2\xbfs or Bachelor\xc2\xbfs degree in Occupational Therapy with similar educational components, a Bachelor\xc2\xbfs degree in Nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and brief counseling, or a Bachelor\xc2\xbfs degree in Psychiatric Nursing. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college. Additional Required Qualifications:Full Registration with respective regulatory College under the Health Professions Act. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Possession of a valid Class 5 driver\'s license and a vehicle in good working order for work related travel. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Minimum of 3 years of relevant mental health experience, preferably in a community setting. Knowledge and experience with mental health assessment. Knowledge and experience treating individuals experiencing addiction (substance and/or process) Ability to ambulate, climb stairs, and move quickly without limitations in a variety of environments. Preferred Qualifications:Extensive knowledge of the resources of Addiction and Mental Health and the community.
