Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being while assisting with their treatment plans. You will work closely with healthcare professionals in a hospital or clinical setting, focusing on patient care and data collection to facilitate effective case management.

Responsibilities

Monitor and observe patients, documenting their behavior and progress accurately. Assist in the implementation of treatment plans under the supervision of licensed professionals. Provide direct patient care, including support during activities of daily living. Engage with children and adolescents to promote therapeutic activities and interventions. Collect and maintain accurate data related to patient behaviors and treatment outcomes. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to discuss patient progress and modify care plans as needed. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all patients, adhering to hospital protocols. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

Skills

Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment is preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to mental health care. Familiarity with case management processes and documentation practices. Background in special education or experience working with children is advantageous. Ability to conduct research related to mental health practices and interventions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and team members. Compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$36.00 per hour
