Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team in Brockville, Ontario. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to our mission of supporting individuals in overcoming mental health and addiction issues, making a positive impact on their lives.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care and support in various settings Assist in crisis intervention and management strategies Conduct patient assessments and document care plans Facilitate group therapy sessions and individual counseling Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Support patients in developing coping strategies for recovery Engage with families to provide education on mental health issues

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field (required) Experience in mental health or addiction counseling (preferred) Strong understanding of crisis intervention techniques (required) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (required) Familiarity with behavioral therapy methods (somewhat preferred) Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment (required) Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards (somewhat preferred) Certification in CPR/First Aid (preferred)
