As a Rehabilitation Worker I, you will work with clients living in residential settings to help them meet their goals. You will help them develop the skills they need to transition to more independent living. This includes teaching activities of daily living, promoting healthy lifestyle habits, improving social/interpersonal relationships, and effective use of leisure time. As the Rehabilitation Worker I, you tend to the well-being and safety of clients and help maintain a comfortable and clean-living environment.
Qualifications:
Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a minimum 2-year degree/diploma in a health-related field such as Social Service Worker, Mental Health and Addiction Worker, Early Childhood Educator
Two years' experience working in a health-related field is preferred.
Current CPR and First Aid is required.
Valid Ontario Driver's license and access to a vehicle required.
Valid vehicle insurance with liability of $2,000,000 minimum.
Demonstrated crisis intervention skills/experience.
Ability to work within the Mental Health Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care guidelines, Psychosocial Rehabilitation Practitioner's Code of Ethics, Best Practices, LLGAMH program standards.
