The CIO Association of Canada (CIOCAN) is a national not-for-profit organization that connects CIOs, CISOs, and senior IT leaders across Canada. Our mission is to foster collaboration, executive development, and the exchange of best practices in the evolving technology leadership landscape.
We're seeking a
Membership & Engagement Coordinator
to join our team during a parental leave period. This role focuses on growing and supporting our membership community and enhancing the overall member experience, while also contributing to communications that showcase the value of CIOCAN across Canada.
What You'll Do
Membership Growth & Engagement
Develop and execute outreach strategies to attract new members and build meaningful partnerships.
Analyze membership data and trends to inform engagement initiatives.
Create personalized engagement activities to foster strong, long-term relationships with members.
Retention & Satisfaction
Implement programs that enhance member value and satisfaction.
Monitor feedback and respond to member inquiries with professionalism and care.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve retention efforts and overall member experience.
Communications & Outreach
Prepare member-focused content for newsletters, social media, and digital campaigns.
Coordinate communications that highlight the benefits of membership and upcoming opportunities.
Support promotion of CIOCAN programs and events that strengthen member engagement.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with staff and volunteers supporting membership activities.
Contribute ideas and improvements that align with CIOCAN's values of inclusion and innovation.
Collaborate in a flexible, remote-first environment.
What You Bring
Post-secondary education in business, communications, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in membership coordination, business development, or a similar role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship-building.
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Experience with membership management software and CRM platforms (experience with
PipeDrive
and
PropFuel
is an asset but not required)
Familiarity with digital outreach or communications strategies that support engagement goals.
Experience in the not-for-profit or association sector is a strong asset.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, remote, and fast-paced work environment.
