THE ROLE:





Reporting to the National Director of Human Resources, the HR Coordinator is responsible for a variety of HR administrative tasks, while helping facilitate daily HR functions and performing tasks with a focus on critical stakeholder support and ensuring the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations.



The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. The incumbent will be able to work autonomously and as part of the Corporate Hotel HR team. To succeed in this role, the candidate should be familiar using HR software and tools and should be able to contribute to the attainment of specific performance goals and results of the HR department and the organization.




ACTIVITIES:




Support the HR team across all functional areas, including HR operations, employee relations and talent acquisition. Assist in the general administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, generating offers, benefits administration, leave and performance management; recognition, occupational health and safety; and training. Administer and maintain HR systems, including HRIS (UKG) and electronic personnel files including tracking updates, personal employee information, compensation, job status changes, transfer and termination status, etc. and ensuring data integrity and confidentiality while ensuring necessary approvals occur. Conduct compliance audits. Ensure timely and accurate onboarding and offboarding documentation, system updates, and compliance requirements. Support the hiring process for designated positions, from posting positions, resume screening, coordinating the interview process, reference checks, and assist with onboarding, participate in career fair events Assist in coordinating employee engagement, annual performance review process, training initiatives, cybersecurity and data protection training, with compliance tracking, and related internal HR communications. Support health and safety compliance activities such as required postings and reporting. Assist the Corporate Hotel HR Team on corporate/regional/national initiatives or escalated concerns. Maintain and update HR Departmental trackers/listings. Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned.



COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING:




Academic/Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and work experience is preferred. Knowledge, Experience and Skills Requirements: Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in an HR Support, Coordination, or Administration role. Prior exposure working in the hospitality industry / real estate market would be a definite asset. Proficient with HCM/HRIS platforms (UKG preferred) and time/attendance systems. Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly adept internal customer service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Mental Effort required to perform the job:


Frequent mental attentiveness and listening is required when dealing with Human Resources tasks. Frequent mental effort is required in multi-tasking, handling interruptions, and/or Employee/Manager queries, that require constant refocusing. Frequent mental effort is required in meeting stringent deadlines. Frequent levels of concentration are required for accuracy when dealing with Human Resources tasks and initiatives.

Physical Effort required to perform the job:


Continuously requires manual dexterity speed and hand/eye coordination for work at a computer. Periodic lifting of computer hardware and administrative materials such as laptop, physical files, binders, etc.




Responsibility for Resources:


Responsible for work area. Responsible for confidential Human Resources and sensitive employee documents, equipment, and protocols related to the company.

Working Conditions


Continuously working at a workstation, assigned by the Manager. Continuously working in a climate-controlled office. Frequently travels to properties in the assigned region, as required. Frequent meetings (in-person, virtual) to discuss various Human Resources subject matter. Temporary hybrid working arrangement, subject to change. Regular working hours, as required. Flexible working hours, as required.
