WAHC is hiring a Membership and Donor Associate.
The Workers Arts and Heritage Centres mandate is to bring together and celebrate all working people (paid and unpaid) through art, history and culture, enabling a stronger, more connected community. WAHC is located in the James Street North neighbourhood in Hamilton, in a designated heritage building, the Custom House, on the territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe. WAHC is a community museum and multidisciplinary arts centre - we program contemporary exhibitions, arts events and semi-permanent exhibits as they relate to our mandate. We support contemporary professional artists with a focus on social practice and community engagement, and foster and promote arts that can be accessed by a wide range of audiences. We also have developed digital projects that honour and preserve the culture of working people, past and present. Our organizational values include solidarity, equity and inclusion and dignity.
We are currently seeking a development professional for the limited term position of Membership and Donor Associate. The successful candidate will execute a project to audit, strategize and execute a revamped membership and donor program to integrate into WAHCs broader development activities. The Membership and Donor Associate will help lay the groundwork for WAHC to reimagine how it cultivates individual donor/member support and build financial resilience.
