Job Description


POSITION: Member Service Counsellor - Travel Services Call Centre LOCATION: Work-From-Home Summary Description: Member Service Counsellors work in CAA North & East Ontario\xe2\x80\x99s Travel Services Call Centre and assist Members with a variety of inquiries and purchases. They address queries primarily through the phone and the web. Member Service Counsellors provide information regarding travel, touring, and TripTik products; International Drivers\' Permits, insurance, and memberships. They renew, upgrade, change account information and sell CAA memberships by phone. In this role, Member Service Consultants will also be responsible for selling our CAA Travel Insurance Product. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Respond to member inquiries regarding travel, membership, and Member Benefits, providing prospective members with information on all CAA North & East Ontario services.
  • Renew, upgrade, sell new memberships and add associates as required.
  • Take TripTik (TT) and Automotive Touring (AT) orders over the phone or download from the web; add TT orders to CRM; complete TT orders and mail them
  • Receive and distribute calls as required, putting information into the member database as required.
  • Sell International Drivers Permits (IDPs) and Travel Insurance, as required
  • Outbound calls to Members
  • Sell CAA Travel Insurance to Members

  • TICO certification is required
  • Residing in Eastern Ontario is required
  • A diploma from a Travel & Tourism program or related discipline is an asset
  • Previous Call Center experience is an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Sales Experience an Asset
  • Fluency in Both Official Languages is desirable
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Some shift work is required. Available to work weekends, including Sundays
  • Successful candidates are required to join Teamsters Local 91
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $18.22 - 21.34 per hour
