Medical Records Clerk PositionRapid Interactive Disability Management (RIDM) is wholly Canadian owned and operated. We have employed this strategy successfully for over 30 years and have continued to grow steadily and successfully within a competitive and often volatile market place.About the PositionReporting to the BC Operations Manager, the Medical Records Clerk will be seen as the first point of contact by greeting visitors and callers as well performing and overseeing the day to day administrative tasks in RIDM Downtown Vancouver OfficeSummary of Essential Job Tasks

  • Perform and oversee the day-to-day process of incoming/outgoing medical records
  • Request, receive, and organize medical records start to finish
  • Prepares the chart by ensuring all records required are included, creates a cover letter detailing specific client questions, issues, and service requests and routes to the provider and/or to the exam location prior to examination.
  • Assist with scheduling appropriate post-examination phone consults with assessors and lawyers
  • Manage the work flow of medical documents received and to be sent as per assessor/RIDM guidelines
  • Handles and responds promptly to incoming calls, e- mails or faxes from physicians or clients requesting report status and/or information.
  • Provide support to all departments/assessors and customers as needed.
  • Ensures that RIDM meets service level agreements and our client's expectations and government regulations.
  • Handles/Escalates appropriate complaints and resolves issue in a timely fashion so as to optimize the clients experience with RIDM
  • Promotion of RIDM to appropriate customers and business segments
  • Liaise with in-house assessors on day of exams (including but not limited to cleaning exam rooms, going to get lunch/coffee for assessor)
  • Perform and oversee medical document distribution and liaise with medical evaluators
  • Occasionally assist with chaperoning exams
  • Work independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented and cases are returned in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to multi-task and answer a multi-line phone system and transfer calls appropriately
  • Oversee and perform requesting of medical documents from clients
  • Liaise with paralegals and lawyers
  • Provide regular reporting of essential information to upper management

  • Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
  • Administrative Assistant: 2 years (preferred)
