The Toronto Centre for Sports Medicine & Preventative Health Limited is a busy Sports Medicine and Family Practice Clinic located in Central Toronto.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a mature dedicated part-time to full-time Medical Receptionist to join our busy Sports Medicine and Family Practice Clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting. We are looking for a candidate for afternoon to evening hours (3-7 pm) who will have the flexibility to cover morning hours for holidays and sick days from time to time.

Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with inquiries

- Communicate with patients through email and secure messaging systems
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Update and maintain electronic medical records
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently
- Process payments and insurance claims
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and clinic

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a medical office or similar administrative role preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems (Accuro experience a plus)

- Proficiency with email systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures helpful
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Comfortable with office equipment and phone systems
