Newmarket Medical Clinic is a growing business in Newmarket. We are looking for a part time receptionist while we remain in a temporary location. We will be moving to a brand new, state of the art medical clinic Jan/Feb 2026. The new location is also in Newmarket - Mullock and 404 - around 10 minutes from our current location. In the new location we will seek for the receptionist to increase hours for a full-time role.
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients at the front desk
- Schedule and confirm appointments using the office's scheduling system
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members
- Collect and update patient information, including OHIP number and demographics
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar administrative role is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR) software. Accuro is theEMR at this clinic
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
