Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) is an acute care hospital located in Cornwall, Ontario along the scenic St. Lawrence River. Summary of responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, Diagnostic Services, and under the supervision of the X-ray Charge Technologist, the technologist will produce all required radiological examinations according to prescribed standards. He/she will perform general radiography, mobile radiography, gastric studies, mobile fluoroscopy, urology, O.R. and any associated tasks, e.g. select/prepare contrast media. He/she will produce high quality images as required, utilize all protective radiation safeguards and assume office and other related duties as required. He/she will document all appropriate information in the radiology information system and uphold all policies and procedures of the department and organization.
Requirements of the job
Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology
Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario
Proficiency in digitized radiography equipment
Recent relevant experience
Excellent computer skills and good working knowledge of HIS, Ris and PACS
Demonstrated effective communication skills, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills
Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced work environment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well with multiple interruptions
Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment
Must meet physical demands of position including lifting over 60 lbs. and withstand constant standing and/or walking
Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
Current certification in BCLS
Demonstrated regular/punctual attendance
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety

Current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
