Medical Radiation Technologists practice as members of a multi-disciplinary team in accordance with the Public Hospitals Act, the Regulated Health Professions Act and the Standards set by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario. In keeping with the Hospital's Mission, Vision and Values, and policies and procedures, Medical Radiation Technologists apply their knowledge of the Art and Science of X-ray Technology to provide professional diagnostic services to patients while minimizing the risk to both themselves and their patients through peer consult and by assisting X-ray Students in training in the department.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a three (3) year diploma in medical radiation and imaging technology programs
Current registration with The College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) with MRT (R)
Member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
Demonstrated experience with PACS applications
Demonstrated computer software application skills (Radiology Information Systems) and knowledge of automated and semi-automated instrumentation and equipment
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and with respect in an oral and written format with patients, public, colleagues and other health disciplines
Demonstrated and proven excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated and proven strong public relation skills
Embodies the LEAN ideology by actively and continually seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital
Bilingualism preferred (French/English)
