Your Opportunity:

The CT department at the Royal Alexandra Hospital is fast paced environment providing support to Trauma Services, Thoracic Surgery, ICU and a number of other programs. As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical CT imaging on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. These patients come through the Emergency department, Inpatient units and outpatient referral. You will perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions, assist with patient care and experience and provide routine QC imaging equipment. Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:

Venipuncture. CAMRT courses CT 1, 2, 3 are completed or in progress. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, NetCare, PAC. Demonstrated excellent skills in interpersonal, written/oral communication. Proven judgment and decision-making. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with procedures (drains, Traumas, Biopsies). Ability to work in stressful situations and a desire to further own knowledge and performance relating to the field. Must be able to work with various health disciplines and demonstrate respect and partnership. Able to provide excellent care and service to patients. Must be able to complete all components of the OHS job- pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, and twisting lifting/carrying 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in Computed Tomography in a trauma center Experience working on scanners by various vendors (i.e., GE, Toshiba and Siemens). Connect Care knowledge.
