(Remote work may not be permanent and will be assessed as needed).

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday

7.5 hours per day/37.5 hours per week

Overview:



Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose, and Commitment of Olive Fertility Centre:

Reporting to the Director, Clinic Operations, the Referral Coordinator is pivotal to the organization - this being the first voice and first face many of our new patients will see.

Key Areas of Involvement Include

:

Referral Coordinator



Triaging new referrals to determine what testing patients need to complete prior to consultation.

Calling or emailing patients to obtain their history and determine testing.

Booking new patient consultations for specific physicians based on patient history.

Uploading all patient requisitions and managing patient portal access.

Sending out Welcome emails and assisting patients with initial testing.

Participate in departmental meetings and in-service education sessions as required.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



Education, Training and Experience:



Grade 12 graduation.

Minimum of two (2) years related experience.

Skills and Abilities:



Quick with tasks and accurate.

Proficiency with answering multi-line switchboard without losing calls or missing calls.

Ability to discuss intimate topics related to infertility in a professional, compassionate manner.

Professional, friendly demeanour that can effectively defuse difficult situations and put patients at ease.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in an environment subject to changing deadlines, stress and interruptions.

Proficiency in the use of personal computers and applicable software applications.

Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Punctual - ready and physically performing required tasks at the start of each shift.

Excellent attendance record.

Ability to speak and write fluently in English.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Experience:

Medical Office: 1 year (preferred) Reception: 1 year (required)
