Overview

The Medical Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by performing laboratory tests that assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of medical terminology and laboratory procedures. This position would be split between front desk and lab support. The technician will work closely with healthcare professionals in a clinical setting to ensure accurate and timely results.

Duties

Conduct various laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids. Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients. Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper labeling and documentation. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning correctly. Analyze data from tests and communicate results to physicians and other healthcare providers. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
