The Role:

ACA is currently hiring a Medical Esthetician Instructor for our Ottawa campus. The program is approved by the Ministry of Colleges & Universities. Our students will graduate with a Medical Esthetician Diploma.

Teaching Responsibilities:

Consistently deliver training programs in accordance with ACA curriculum standards within the Medical Esthetician program.

Engage the students in the learning process, recognizing the different expectations and learning styles of our students and ensuring the comprehension of all students in the class

Set up, instruct and supervise laboratory activity

Coordinate, evaluate, and record the completion of tests and assignments

Record and evaluate students' progress, participation and attendance

Provide ongoing feedback and encouragement to students and support the students in their goal to attain their diplomas

Identify potential problems which may interfere with or be a barrier to successful completion of the program and encourage and assist students to develop independent problem-solving skills

Tracking and following up with students who have missed or failed tests or assignments, scheduling rewrites, marking and reporting those grades

Available to students on regular scheduled but limited basis for counselling as required

Oversight of practical placement experience

Qualifications and Skills:

Medical Esthetician teaching experience at the college level is preferred

Proven subject matter expertise

Over 3 years industry experience

Effective verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver clear and well-organized presentations in lab settings and via video conferencing

Aptitude to demonstrate active listening; to promote open communication by exchanging ideas; to share information clearly and at the level of understanding of the audience

Organizational and time management skills

Positive customer service attitude with the ability to deal effectively with people with diverse cultural and social backgrounds

Computer literacy, Zoom experience

Clear criminal background check
