Overview

We are a busy medical clinic in Napanee (Kingston and Gananoque) looking for someone who is approachable, sociable, and organized to join our team. You will be responsible for handling of Medications in a pharmacy setting. Making sure orders are received, correct dates/doses, updating doses and missed doses.

When staff are away from the clinical side you will be required to do the following; filing medical documents securely, processing admissions, and distributing patients' charts to the doctor so they will receive appropriate medical care using physical and electronic charts. In this position you will be working and interacting with the patients, creating relationships between the clinic and the patients which requires someone who is compassionate.

Language - Read and write English Education - College, or equivalent Experience - Pharmacy experience; 1-2 years in medical office or similar

Responsibilities

Sending and receiving medications Dispensing medications Confirming date/doses Updating missed doses Destroying Medications Updating and maintaining patient records Testing samples and notifying the doctor of the results Connecting to telemedicine Answering phones Booking appointments General office duties We will train in stocking, reception, programs used, and procedures. Knowledge of PatientVu is an asset. Pharmacy skills an asset.

Additional Information

Part time position to cover medical leave; and casual to follow for vacations, illnesses etc Willing to travel to Kingston/Gananoque to cover vacation/illness Able to start as soon as possible Will need to provide a criminal check and references Valid drivers license; reliable transportation
