Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs.
Clearly communicate repair recommendations, estimates, and service options, ensuring transparency and building trust.
Write detailed service orders that accurately reflect customer requests and technician requirements.
Collaborate with technicians to prioritize repairs, diagnose issues using automotive diagnostics tools, and ensure timely completion of services.
Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, or transmission servicing by highlighting benefits that meet customer needs.
Manage auto estimating processes efficiently using dealership or shop management software to generate accurate quotes.
Handle cash transactions professionally while maintaining accurate records of payments received.
Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business through excellent customer service.
Qualifications
Previous dealership or auto service management experience is highly preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with auto estimating software and automotive repair processes including transmissions, oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, and shocks & struts.
Proven ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and clear communication style.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
Knowledge of dealership operations including auto service writing and auto estimating tools is advantageous.
Mechanical experience or background as a service technician enhances understanding of technical issues presented by customers.
