We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring a smooth and efficient service experience. This role requires a blend of mechanical knowledge, customer service skills, and sales acumen to effectively communicate with clients and facilitate their automotive needs.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their service needs. Gather detailed information regarding vehicle issues and relay this information to the service department. Provide accurate estimates for repairs and services, ensuring transparency with customers. Upsell additional services or products that may benefit the customer's vehicle. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service requests, and transactions. Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while ensuring accuracy. Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure timely completion of services. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair is essential. Proven customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients. Sales experience, particularly in upselling services or products in an automotive context. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
