The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of projects from initiation through to completion. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, ensure timely delivery, and ensure projects are executed within budget, scope, and quality standards. These projects may pertain to major government and or industrial enterprises.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full project lifecycle, from submittal to closeout process.
Manage project coordination drawings and RFIs, project deliveries, budgets, resource allocation as well as schedules for project while coordinating manpower requirements with other projects within the company.
Collaborate closely with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
Manage and successfully close construction contracts within the gross margins established by management.
Conduct risk assessments and manage issues to ensure project success.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards during project execution as well as manpower supervision.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and present project proposals, contracts, and progress reports to senior management and clients.
May periodically act as QC reviewer on projects.
Qualifications:
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to prepare and present concepts to various audiences.
Ability to successfully work independently.
Must have strong customer service skills.
Must have at least 5 years of field experience in mechanical or structural construction.
Competent with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software, AutoCAD, MS Project would be an asset.
An Accredited 4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management would be a strong asset.
Minimum 4 years verifiable Project Management experience working in the areas listed above.
