As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our construction projects by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates. You'll collaborate closely with various stakeholders, ensuring that every aspect of the mechanical systems is accounted for and that we stay on track with budgets and timelines.

What you'll do

Analyze project specifications and blueprints to prepare comprehensive mechanical estimates. Utilize Bluebeam software. Engage in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and contract terms. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Collaborate with construction management teams to assess site conditions and requirements. Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors to facilitate smooth project execution. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating process.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction estimating, particularly within mechanical systems. Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable contract terms with suppliers and subcontractors. Solid understanding of cost control measures and pricing strategies in construction projects. Familiarity with construction site experience and the ability to assess site conditions effectively. Knowledge of contracts related to construction management practices. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate estimation.
