We are looking for a

Mechanical Estimator

tojoin our team under the general supervision of the Estimation Manager.

As a valued member of the team, your core responsibilities will include:

Assemble accurate tenders for bids and ensures these tenders are submitted in a timely manner Obtain accurate pricing for equipment, materials and sub-contractors used Contact necessary suppliers and sub-trades Take off material labour using estimation hardware and software Maintain all project changes (Addendums/new plans) for estimated costs Complete tender for review and submits formal tender/bid by tender close date Attend site visits Prepare quote in Bid Template Other duties as assigned

The following qualifications are required of the successful candidate:

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Ability to demonstrate long-term work authorization without restrictions in Canada

Must live in Winnipeg, Manitoba or surrounding area

Must have your own transportation as bus transportation is not available

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with Microsoft Project Proven team player Professional, approachable and customer-service oriented Strong work ethic and positive team attitude Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy Good mathematical and analytical skills Strong oral and written communication skills Understand and provide value engineering opportunities Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
The ideal candidate will have the following:

Completion of Trade or Technical school in the areas of Engineering, AutoCAD or Drafting plus 4+ Years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project) and knowledge in the use of estimation programs/software
