This position reports to the Senior Mechanical Engineer.

What you will do:

• Assist the Senior Mechanical Engineer in all aspects of the mine engineering department, including equipment selection, mechanical design, drafting, developing work scopes, project management, contractor management, inspections and other assigned duties
• Provide maintenance engineering support to maintain and develop underground facilities, equipment, and processes
• Be a safety leader and foster a positive safety culture

What you will bring:

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and in groups
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate in professional setting and with diverse groups

• Mechanical Engineering degree (varying levels of Mechanical Engineers will be considered)
• Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
• Ability to work underground
• Understanding of underground potash mining is an asset
• Eligibility to work in Canada
