Since 1912, Clean Energy Compression Corp; (CEC) has manufactured industrial equipment known for its quality and reliability; Today, CEC is a leading supplier of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Renewable Natural Gas equipment for vehicle fueling and industrial applications; We are also developing a line of hydrogen compressors; Our products include compressors, dispensers, storage systems, CNG parts, and technical services; IMW is part of Landi Renzo and Clean Energy Fuels;

Position Overview: The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for concept generation, design detail, equipment specifications, and equipment selection and production drawings; The Mechanical Engineer communicates with the production team to ensure designs are cost-effective and productive;

Position: Mechanical Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Generate concepts for components;
• Generate detailed manufacturing design and drawings;
• Develop 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks;
• Generate engineering Bills of Materials in AX;
• Improve drawing control procedures and company standard practices;
• Create a detailed design of components for IMW products; This includes the generation and review of:
• Layout drawings
• Manufacturing Drawings
• Specification and selection of equipment
• Bills of Materials
• Work instructions
• Manuals
• Material requisitions
• Design calculations
• Coordinate projects when assigned;
• Know and understand workplace health and safety rights and responsibilities;
• Other duties as required.

• Degree in mechanical engineering or similar;
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P; Eng) or enrolled as an Engineer in Training (EIT) in Canada;
• Training or experience in ASME codes; Section VII Div 1, ANSI B31;3 and CSA B51;
• 0-3 years of experience in machine design preferably in reciprocating compressors;
• 0-3 years of experience in preparing detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks;
• Background in mechanical design of heat exchangers, vessels, piping, and assemblies is an asset;
• Experience in assemblies of machines/compressors.

• Regularly required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to operate computers, and office equipment; use vision and hearing when working with communication and office materials.

• Ability to communicate effectively with production staff and vendors;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure information is correctly documented and put into action.

• Formal training or experience in Enterprise Resource Planning/Material Requirements Planning Software;
• Proficient in MS Office Suite;
• Ability to learn new programs as required.
