Job Description

Actalent is hiring for a Mechanical Engineer for our client in the nuclear industry. This position is Hybrid in Mississauga, Ontario and must past nuclear security clearances.

MUST-HAVES

• Experience with pressure vessels
• ASME Section 8
• GD&T and Stack up tolerances
• Design documentation & Technical Specifications (400-600 page reports)
• Understanding different materials, stainless steel, carbon steel, and zirconium
• Professional Engineering is highly desirable
• Minimum if they have 5-7 years within Nuclear or over 8+ years experience outside of Nuclear
• Must be able to get CANDU and Bruce Power Clearance

Nice-to-haves

• Specifically on Class 1 Components (NB) specifically
• Understanding of N285
• Prepared Design specifications
• Understanding Fuel Channel works and the loads that are on it, (thermal, pressure, mechanical loads)
• Understands the connection with the fueling machine, feeders, and fuel channel, (fuel handling background)
