We are seeking a

Mechanical Engineer

with strong design, analytical, and communication skills to join our growing team. This role bridges the gap between

engineering design and project implementation

, working from conceptual design in the office to hands-on collaboration with on-site installers.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of

refrigeration design, thermodynamics, automation, and general construction practices

, and is comfortable interacting with engineers, architects, vendors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Develop site plans, project requirements, and equipment selections Create detailed construction and component models using AutoCAD & SolidWorks Review and verify drawings for accuracy, material selection, and manufacturing feasibility Perform engineering calculations for system design requirements Collaborate with clients, consultants, and vendors to meet project needs and local code requirements Support project managers in planning, forecasting, and managing installations Provide technical support to fabrication, assembly, and field installation teams Participate in client training for equipment operation and functionality Maintain organized project documentation (quotes, drawings, schedules) Uphold all safety protocols during site work and installations Travel as required for site visits and project support

Qualifications

Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Proficiency in

AutoCAD

and

SolidWorks

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Experience in industrial/commercial construction (preferred) Knowledge of refrigeration systems (asset) Licensed member of Professional Engineers Ontario (asset) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
