Established in 2008 Specialized Metal Fabricators is a custom sheet metal manufacturing company. Focusing primarily on the architectural industry we excel at providing quality service and exceptionally quick turnaround times. We are currently looking for a Architectural Drafter / Mechanical Designer to join our team in Woodbridge, ON.

REQUIREMENTS:

Proficient in reading and interpretation of technical drawings Strong attention to detail 3 years experience in preparation of sheet metal 3D CAD Models and respective drawings in Solidworks Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge Creativity and analytical skills Must be able to use 2D AutoCAD software CAD/ Drafting Certificate or Degree - or completion or related field

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understanding customer's requirements and identifying production capability gaps Design and preparation of fabrication drawings of varying complexity on various sheet metal parts in Solidworks Generate assembly drawings Program CNC laser and router machines Preparation of BOM and materials for ordering Revisions and editing of designs Communications with clients for approvals

ASSETS:

Associates or Bachelors in Engineering Technology is a PLUS! Experience in the sheet metal industry is also a PLUS!
