Adecco is currently seeking a Mechanical Designer (Temporary) to join a dynamic team in Cambridge, ON. The successful candidate will work alongside Optical, Thermal, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineers to develop structural and alignment components for a ground station that communicates with satellites via lasers. The role involves creating solid models, machining, and assembly drawings, and contributing to innovative space communication technology.
Pay rate: $45/hour.
Location: Cambridge, ON
Shifts: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities:
Design and improve mechanical products using CREO CAD software.
Develop solid models, machining drawings, and assembly drawings for structural and alignment components.
Collaborate with Optical, Thermal, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineers to meet project requirements.
Evaluate parts, products, or processes for cost efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability.
Apply GD&T principles and knowledge of machining processes in designs.
Provide guidance or mentorship to junior designers when required.
Exercise creativity and independent judgment in problem-solving and design solutions.
Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
College diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
4-6 years of experience in mechanical design or related areas.
Proficient in CREO CAD software.
Strong knowledge of GD&T and machining processes.
Familiar with design for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
Creative, independent, and capable of managing multiple tasks while collaborating with a team.
