Overview

Quantum Technology is a global leader in specialized industrial gas applications, particularly Helium and Hydrogen. For 40+ years we have been manufacturing premium Helium and Hydrogen liquefaction units, recovery systems and He production plants. We produce standard and custom solutions for any gas recovery, separation, purification and liquefaction.

Job Duties

- Design Development: Create and develop detailed mechanical designs for components, systems, and equipment, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements.

- Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate design specifications and ensure optimal performance.

- Technical Drawings: Produce and maintain accurate technical drawings, P&IDs, 3D models, and schematics using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

- Prototyping: Oversee the creation and testing of prototypes, making necessary adjustments based on test results and feedback.

- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, assemblers, and other team members to integrate designs into larger systems and projects.

- Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.

- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance design processes and contribute to innovation.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

Experience & Skills Required

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a proven record of accomplishment of developing successful designs for mechanical systems and components.

- Proficiency in mechanical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD & SolidWorks).

- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design standards, specifically ASME B31.3

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address technical challenges effectively.

- Basic understanding of electrical design and components.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in design work.

- P.Eng. or the ability to become a P.Eng. in the future is an asset.
