Our committed team of engineers and designers provide services to many client sectors, including transit, institutional, industrial and educational. We are currently seeking a
Mechanical Designer to complement our Mission Critical Facilities team in our Toronto office.
Responsibilities:

Performs mechanical engineering work (design & drafting) related to institutional, commercial, residential, and industrial buildings, specifically in the areas of Mechanical Systems, i.e. HVAC, plumbing and drainage, fire protection & controls -
Assists with feasibility/preliminary engineering studies to formulate, determine and evaluate design criteria for engineering work and to develop options for attaining the functionality required by the client -
Performs field review services periodically for the purpose of determining condition assessment of existing services, as well as during construction for the purpose of reviewing work for compliance with design specifications -
Performs energy modelling and analysis services
Qualifications:
-
Post secondary education in a Mechanical Engineering program with interest in building engineering and courses in heat transfer, thermodynamics, psychometrics and fluid mechanics -
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role -
Strong interest and knowledge of building services, controls, HVAC, plumbing and drainage and fire protection -
Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation and Microsoft Office -
Exceptional attention to detail specifically with accuracy in calculations and completeness of data
