Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs, schematics, and system layouts using advanced CAD software. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, system design, and drafting standards to support various construction and manufacturing projects. The Mechanical Designer will collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop innovative solutions and ensure design accuracy and efficiency.

Duties

Develop detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and Pro/ENGINEER Create comprehensive schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions for manufacturing and construction purposes Utilize Bluebeam, NavisWorks, and other visualization tools to review and annotate designs Assist in system design processes for mechanical components and assemblies Prepare accurate drafting documentation adhering to industry standards and client specifications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine design concepts and troubleshoot technical issues Support project development through detailed documentation of designs, modifications, and revisions Contribute to the creation of 2D animations for visualizing complex mechanical systems when necessary

Qualifications

Proven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Pro/ENGINEER Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and system design processes Experience in creating schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions for construction or manufacturing projects Familiarity with Bluebeam, NavisWorks, and other visualization or review tools is preferred Knowledge of construction practices and mechanical system integration is a plus Ability to interpret technical specifications and produce precise drafting documents Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred but not mandatory depending on experience

Pay: $48,403.54-$101,208.40 per year
