Keep reading to find out if this role is meant for you!What you'll be doing...Mechanics at BC Transit currently work a compressed work schedule of 4 ten-hour shifts with 3 consecutive days off. Shift schedules are Monday-Thursday, Tuesday-Friday and Friday-Monday days and nights. We are open from 04:30am to 02:30am.Under the direction of Maintenance Supervisors or designated Tradespersons, will inspect, troubleshoot, test, repair and perform maintenance on BC Transits fleet, which includes brake systems, suspension, engines, hydraulics, electrical, air conditioning, fuel systems, transmissions and driveline components. Will be required to identify and order parts as well as rebuild components and change off buses needing repairs as required.Please note, if you are currently a Mechanic Apprentice looking for work experience, we are not reviewing apprentice applications at this time.
