Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery and food preparation, with a strong focus on meat cutting and food safety. This role involves preparing high-quality meat products, ensuring proper handling, packaging, and maintaining excellent customer service standards. The Meat Cutter will play a vital role in delivering fresh, safe, and appealing products to our customers while adhering to all food safety regulations.

Duties

Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meats according to specifications and quality standards Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination Operate meat processing equipment safely and efficiently Package meat products for retail display or customer orders, ensuring accurate labeling and presentation Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards Assist customers with product selection and provide excellent customer service when needed Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures during food handling and preparation Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs for restocking

Experience

Previous experience in the food industry, especially in butchery or meat cutting, is highly preferred Knowledge of food handling procedures, safety regulations, and sanitation standards Experience with food preparation, packaging, and customer service is a plus Kitchen experience or background in food safety practices will be advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong understanding of proper meat cutting techniques and tools used in butchery

Pay: $16.71-$25.00 per hour
