About this opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, Measurement this role supports the Kabob/Edson asset(s) with understanding and executing on CVE metering and measuring programs that meet regulatory requirements. This role uses technical expertise to audit, identify discrepancies and suggest solutions that has CVE in compliance with regulatory requirements. Working closely with the operations, engineering, production accounting and maintenance and reliability teams, influence, technical expertise and collaboration are behavioral competencies that contribute to success in the execution of this roles tasks. This role is based in the Edson office.
Responsibilities:
Effectively coordinate and operate Enhanced Production Audit Program (EPAP) controls for Alberta Energy Regulators (AER) requirements
Own gas and hydrocarbon analysis validation process in specific areas
Integrate measurement compliance program within operations daily
Aid in scheduling of required sampling, testing and other regulatory measurement sensitive activities.
Key contributor the production area set up and maintenance of the field data capture system Energy Components.
Communicate with government regulators when it comes to metering and measurement compliance.
Become involved in corporate decision making, aid in CVE measurement QA QC. At times works independently using technical measurement expertise.
Provide technical analysis of measurement installations
Assist in auditing of production facilities and ensuring compliance with government and corporate requirements.
Provide help in trouble shooting problem areas relative to measurement and accounting issues.
Assist in maintaining the PM program for measurement equipment in the field.
Establish and coordinate a process for updating all measurement drawings for the applicable area.
Qualifications:
A minimum 5-10 years in oil and gas with operations, measurement, or Instrumentation experience. Some experience in a field measurement position is preferred, PA experience would be an asset.
Understanding of AER Directive 17 measurement and reporting requirements is essential.
Technical diploma, specifically in Instrumentation is preferred.
Familiarity with Directive 60 is beneficial.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft products.
Good understanding of all aspects of oil and gas field operations.
Team player, positive attitude, good and prioritizing and organization skills.
Willing to relocate to the Edson area
