Boring Tutors is a locally founded tutoring company in Delta, BC. We take pride in making learning fun and accessible. Our goal is to create a comfortable and personally tailored learning environment for our students in order to help them discover academic joy and success.

Overview:

We are looking for tutors who have great communication skills, strong in STEM subjects and have fun teaching and guiding students in their academic journeys.

A Bachelor's degree or current university enrollment is required, as is fluency in English. Must be familiar with BC high school curriculum.

Responsibilities:

- Hold one-on-one lessons for students ranging from grades 8-12

- Proficiency in high school math up to precalculus 12. Chemistry and Physics not mandatory but a bonus if candidate is able to teach these subjects as well

- Be able to work around school schedule, ie majority of lessons to take place Sep - June; excluding Christmas and Spring break.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in tutoring OR teaching required

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students

- Ability to educate and motivate students

This position would be suitable for candidates with availabilities Mon-Thurs between 3 to 10pm and flexible weekends.

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 12 per week
