About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Math Tutor to support students from Grades 6-12 (and beyond, as needed) in Ontario. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to explain concepts clearly to learners with different needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed in Ontario's mathematics curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and/or small group tutoring sessions aligned with the Ontario math curriculum (Grades 6-12, including algebra, geometry, functions, calculus, and data management).
Support students with homework, assignments, and test/exam preparation.
Develop customized learning strategies and practice exercises to address each student's needs.
Monitor progress and communicate feedback with parents/guardians and program coordinators.
Encourage problem-solving skills, independent learning, and growth mindset.
Deliver tutoring in person at our learning centre or online using platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or related field.
Familiarity with Ontario's math curriculum and teaching approaches.
Prior experience teaching or tutoring is an asset.
Strong communication, patience, and ability to adapt teaching style to student needs.
Current OCT (Ontario College of Teachers) certification or experience in Ontario schools considered an asset.
Must be reliable and committed to scheduled sessions.

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
