OVERVIEW



Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Material Handler ensures warehouse duties are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time to meet customer expectations.



In addition to hands-on material handling, the Team Leader will support coordination of daily warehouse operations and assist in guiding team members to maintain high standards of performance and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Team Leadership & Material Handling (Approximately 75%)



Act as a point of contact for team members on the floor Assist in training and onboarding new warehouse staff Support the Warehouse Manager with workflow coordination and team assignments Monitor task completion and provide guidance to ensure accuracy and efficiency Foster a positive and productive team environment Load, unload, sort, and move goods by hand or using material handling equipment Verify incoming and outgoing products, quantities, and quality Build and wrap pallets for shipping/receiving Package goods securely (using strapping machines when needed) Pick accessories and ensure proper order fulfillment Apply shipping labels and documents correctly Assist customers, carriers, and couriers with proper product loading

Additional Duties (20%)

Participate in annual inventory and cycle counts Complete reports as required Perform additional duties as requested by management Assist with problem-solving and process improvement initiatives

Promote and enforce company health and safety standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace Encourage safety best practices among team members

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or vocational training 1+ year of experience in a similar warehouse role; leadership experience an asset Strong knowledge of spoken and written English Valid lift truck license; experience with elevating platform order/stock picker Familiarity with RF scanners and wireless devices (asset) Physically fit: able to lift and move goods 60 lbs+ regularly Comfortable working in temperature-variable environments Steel toe boots required * Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
