Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Material and Production Planning Manager to oversee our production processes and ensure efficient material management. This role is critical in optimizing production planning, enhancing supply chain operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in MRP systems and manufacturing planning.

Responsibilities

Support the VP of Operations on the production planning strategies to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels. Manage material requirements planning (MRP) processes to ensure timely availability of materials for production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain analytics and improve overall supply chain management. Oversee plant management activities, ensuring adherence to quality control standards and operational efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process improvement, lean methodologies, and waste reduction. Analyze production data to identify trends, forecast needs, and make informed decisions regarding resource allocation. Coordinate with assembly teams to streamline operations and enhance productivity across the manufacturing floor. Maintain mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure optimal performance of production machinery.

Skills

Strong expertise in production management and planning methodologies. Proficiency in SAP and other ERP systems for effective resource management. Misys and Quick Books experience is an asset. since these are the two systems we are currently running at MOSTOIL. Knowledge of supply chain analytics and best practices in supply chain management. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques. Experience in quality control measures within a manufacturing setting. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence. Ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets related to production performance.
