The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Master Analyst, IT - Technology Infrastructure Architect to join our Technology team in Toronto/Sudbury. This is a permanent position The domain architect for technology infrastructure and security plays an integral role in building a holistic view and roadmap of the company\xe2\x80\x99s technology strategy, processes, and information technology roadmap, partnering with both business and technology stakeholders. Your accountabilities will include:

  • Builds long-term strategies and roadmaps for infrastructure foundations including hosting, cloud, network, and cyber security domains.
  • Partners with other domains and solution architects to provide a consensus based scalable and adaptable architectural solutions.
  • Analyze technical needs, requirements, and current state of applications and solutions landscape.
  • Work with technical stakeholders to design applications and solutions in a collaborative manner.
  • Develop design principles, models, plans, standards, budgets, and processes based on industry best practices.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of technologies and products.
  • Lead teams of other solutions architects and subject matter experts developing detailed designs.
About You

Education:
  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Relevant training and courses on technologies and/or working methodologies and frameworks.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years architecture and design experience.
  • Proven experience on hosting and cloud platforms and services (infra as code, IAAS, PAAS).
  • Proven experience on network & connectivity including LAN, WAN, Internet links, LTE, xG, others.
  • Experience on security best practices for both corporate and industrial landscapes.
  • Knowledge and experience on related technology trends.
  • Previous experience on mining/industrial/manufacturing industries is a plus
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong Communication across different levels
  • Portuguese language [nice to have]
  • Ability to think big and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology.
  • Ability to engage and motivate stakeholders by creating a sense of purpose.
  • Ability to work geographically dispersed and remotely using virtual environments.
