The Administrative Assistant (Massage Therapy) position has primary responsibility for providing day-to-day administrative support to the Department Head, Faculty Manager and Instructors. The position provides a wide variety of administrative support services, all of which contribute to the efficient and professional operation of the department. It is expected that the incumbent is well organized and possesses excellent time management skills.



Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities (Including but not limited to the following):

Organize courses and conferences that are required as part of the massage therapy program Perform general administrative duties such as word processing, filing, photocopying, faxing, creating and retrieving correspondence for the Department Head and Instructors Be the "go-to" person for instructors on a daily basis when they require last minute assistance Assist in meeting deadlines for various tasks and projects that the department is accountable for Assist in data collection and collating of information including use of internet and other resources Assist in the dissemination of information to internal and external stakeholders Assist with organizing travel arrangements for faculty members as required

Education and Experience



Minimum two years of related experience Diploma or Certificate in Administration considered an asset Experience in an office environment, within an educational institution considered an asset Proficient MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
